Both, by design. Save a known fix as an Autopilot playbook and it reruns instantly and deterministically the next time that exact issue comes up — no LLM call needed. But you're never limited to what's already been saved: for anything without a matching playbook, the AI reasons about the problem from scratch and writes new diagnostic commands itself, instead of failing silently because no script exists for it.

Every command is classified before it runs. Read-only diagnostics execute immediately. Anything that changes state (restarting a service, editing the registry) queues for one-click human approval. Genuinely destructive commands (formatting a volume, force-deleting directories) are blocked from auto-approval entirely and always require an explicit human decision. You can also stop the AI mid-diagnosis at any time from the chat.
